England shambles
We lose against Denmark, scrape a win v Wales and lose to N. Ireland in a shambolic way. Do you think sven is not the man for the job anymore ? or can he lead us to victory in the World cup (if we qualify) He lacks passion and seems to be lacking in tactical thinking & new ideas. We have potentially the best England team in years, could 2006 be our year ? not if sven is at the helm .... ? what do you guys think ?

I think last night was an absolute disgrace. The thing that annoyed me most was the passion shown by the players. The reason for the seemingly lack of ambition is the fact that our manager doesn't understand how much last nights game means, and the reason for that is HE ISN'T ENGLISH. The formation, substitions and so on were all wrong. We didn't need to have 3 centre midfielders against Northern Ireland. In my opinion we should have had Beckham sitting in front of the back four, Gerrard behind the front two but dropping back to the middle regularly, Cole left, SWP right, Rooney and Owen upfront. It seems to me that Sven is picking players on reputation and not doing what is best for the team. I hate the fact that Beckham came out after the game and said something accross the lines of "If we win the next two games we will qualify." What kind of attitude is that ?? We just lost to a team who are under teams like Rwanda in the Fifa rankings, a team that we are massive rivals with and Beckham is talking as if because we can win the next two games and qualify that it is acceptable. We shouldn't have to rely on these games, we should be beating Northern Ireland, shouldn't we !?! Arggh, i don't know !

paid 5million a year to play rooney on the left wing, id have 10 pound a year to play him where he should be playing, hes not english for a start, no passion, as you said rob about what beckham said, fuckin fashion icon on the cover of heat every week life run by his missus, fuck him off, what happened to the good old passion england use to have. we need someone like big sam or pearce, but then if so should it be after the world cup or before!!
